The human body has a magnificent design but when couples face infertility, the disappointment and stress can be enormous. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that approximately 6.1 million women in the United States (10%) have difficulty getting pregnant or staying pregnant.

In a study published in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research (JVSR) in 2003, 14 out of 15 subjects became pregnant within 2-20 months of starting chiropractic care. The one subject who didn’t conceive was 65 years old. If the spine is out of alignment, the nerves that affect the reproductive system can’t do their job, resulting in infertility. Chiropractors are experts in the workings of the nervous system and through painless adjustments, can remove interference to the nerves that control reproductive function. This can help correct some of the problems related to infertility.
