Nicole Rasor – Elite Athletes and Chiropractic
[00:00:00] () Whether you’re a weekend warrior or an elite athlete chiropractic can make a real difference in your health. Here’s Nicole razor, a former Olympian, and currently third ranked indoor Archer in America. She uses chiropractic care to help ensure that she is achieving her performance and health goals for herself and her family.
[00:00:20] Just recently I decided to shoot the 50 plus category. I’m actually 56, but I just. Been able to get myself, shoot all the crowd. So I just chopped the national championships and I got third, about 2019. I started practicing archery again and after eight year break and I realized that my neck and my middle back and my low back kept getting pulled out of alignment because archery is a very one-sided.
[00:00:56] So I’m like I heard about this guy. Maybe I will try him out. And I’ve been here ever since I’m able to practice way more than I would otherwise. I haven’t had any headaches coming from my neck being pulled out of alignment. My middle back, the trapezius area and rhomboid area hasn’t been hurting.
[00:01:17] And if I do feel something is off, I just come from. I would get an extra treatment, but generally our treatment once a week really helps keep everything in alignment and keeps me practicing. It’s really fatiguing the muscles. I’m shooting 38 pounds and I’m shooting an Olympic recurve boat. So it’s, there’s no let up.
[00:01:40] It’s 38 pounds from beginning to end and I do that 150 times on an average. So my friend arm is the one that has to stay stable. The backside has to move. And doing that 150 times, the neck gets tight. The middle back gets tight. The traps get tight. The low back gets painful. Legs, get tired. If I’m not hurting, I can perform better, but it’s also made me taller.
[00:02:13] I’m going to half an inch taller than I was two years ago. So maybe I’m back to the way it was years ago, but that lets you know, that there is a whole bunch of compressions just from daily life happening that chiropractic can alleviate. There you go. As you can chiropractic not only helps the occasional weekend warrior, but the elite athlete as well.
