When you think about Thanksgiving? What is it that you think about? Is it the time with the family, the Turkey, the stuffing, the corn bread. That’s my favorite. I bet. Right now you can think of the one thing that makes Thanksgiving so special for you. The problem is many kids right now in our community.
Don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Actually that numbers one and six. One in six will not have the opportunity to have that special Thanksgiving that we sometimes take for granted if we don’t step in to make a difference. So today we’re going to give you an opportunity to make a difference in the life of a kid.
This Thanksgiving. Join us as we work to help build Thanksgiving food boxes for families this year, we’re going to be collecting non-perishable food items and I’ll have a list down in the description. So check that out. We work with the Miranda school district. They work to identify families that really are need and ask for help.
So your food box is going to someone who really will appreciate what you’re giving them. What can you do? There are a couple of things you can donate. We’ll have lots of Thanksgiving, food items and turkeys that we’ll need to purchase. And your donation is going to help us to provide as much as we can, or you can go shopping, use the list and link below to get the specific items that we need to provide a food box for everyone that needs where you can volunteer that weekend.
Before we deliver the food boxes, we will need help organizing and boxing up food. There are so many ways that you can make it. Our goal is to serve 150 families in this community with a Thanksgiving food box. And I thank you so much for helping us to fulfill our mission together. We’re going to make an impact right here in our little corner of the world.
